We had such a blast playing in the snow for a bit before heading back to Kingman... for the inlaws avoiding the snow is the reason they are spending the winter in Az, but taking the grandkids to The Polar Express & then watching them enjoy the snow the next day.. is ok.. right Grandma & Grandpa.. we sure do thank you for taking us!!!

We had an amazing time this weekend in Kingman visiting the inlaws the driving to Williams.. it was relaxing in the begining.. until the storms starting rolling in.. and it was time to travel to Williams were we knew there would be icy snow filled roads.. We packed up the kids.. some over night clothes.. and drove up to Williams.. it was beautiful! Snow everywhere.. it was hard for me to take a lot of pics in the dark.. and I am too Californian to figure out how to walk in snow let alone try to take a bunch of pics, but we did get this one with Santa.. we visited Mrs. Clause.. played with trains.. and the boarded the Polar Express.. then we had some hot chocolate, cookies, book reading.. and sang Christmas carols.. it was a blast!

We went to Tanaka Farms today w/ Granny and my friend Viki. Viki and I were old hula friends back in the day. We just recently realized that we needed to be hanging since we both have two little ones. Here is her son Keoni with Garrett & Drew

Today our local fire stations held an open house for families to come and see the trucks up close. So Granny & I decided to take the boys for some fire house fun. We had a great time!

Today I tried to take the boys pictures in their costumes. Garrett knew that there was a cookie reward so he did great. Drew not so much, he was everywhere, driving me crazy! I did manage to get these two of the boys
My Cookie Monster did AWESOME!
Even though I got some great pictures. Drew was driving me nuts so we went to the park and I did get these of my cute Elmo.

Garrett is really taking on the role of Big Brother! Last night the boys shared their room together for the first time.. we had Drew sleeping in the office, but Mark and I have decided that they are ready to share. They did great! This morning I went in the room to get the boys and Drew was throwing a fit.. and Garrett said "Mommy Drew wants my water.. here give it to him." I gave the water to Drew.. and that was what he wanted. So cute! They still don't 100% play together all the time, but they are really getting closer to that. Here is a video of Drew jumping into Garrett's arms. I love it.. it shows how cute these two boys can be.. playing together.

Well I am very excited to say that I am finally a SAHM! Today was my last day at work! I am leaving the career world to be with my kids full time. I am so excited that Mark and I could finally figure out a budget that would allow me to raise my kids and not some one else. I don't think its going to be easy. Its going to be a big adjustment to tell myself NO you can't buy that, but I think that once we are in a groove it will come more natural. I am very excited to take more pictures of my kids, laugh with them more, play with them more and most importantly be there for everything. The first 5 yrs of a child's life are so important as far as molding who they will be. I want Mark and I to mold them during these impressionable years! I am grateful to Mark, he will be needing to pick up more work hours, but I also feel like that is his job. The man makes the dough and the woman raises kids. Sounds old fashion, but I feel that its the best way to go about things.
During this time I am going to be slowly going back to school to reach my goal of becoming a nurse. I have always wanted a job that would make a difference. I love the idea that I would have a career that would be caring for people. My goal is to go to one class a semester then once the boys are in school full time I would begin the nursing program. This is far down the road and who knows what the future will bring, but I always think its a good idea and healthy to work towards something.
For now.. its me and the kids! I will be having a blast with the two greatest blessings in my life.. and I am so excited!!!!!
