1st day of school

Lets start with Drew.. well lets actually back up to the fact that I thought school started for both boys on the same day.. not even taking into consideration that because we are in this crazy in between stage of life that they are going to two different schools in two different school districts that maybe just maybe they would start on different days.. oh no.. didn't think about that.. at all....

So Drew.. morning of his 1st day.. I am sitting on the sofa.. getting ready to plan our fun day at Chuck E Cheese with friends.. and I look on instagram {yup instagram} and BAM there is 1st day of school pics.. and I think.. UM THOSE KIDS ARE IN CAPO DISTRICT... MY KID IS TOO!!!!! argh.. so I run up start getting his clothes together telling Drew he has to go to school today.. he is crying.. I am in a crazy furry of life.. omgness.. this.poor.child!!!!! Well on the positive side.. it was just orientation for an hour.. and he is a late owl.. so we missed nothing!!!!! THANK GOODNESS!!!!!

We have wrapped up his 1st week {3dys} and its funny he comes home talking about this "bad kid" in class.. I am nervous.. oh very nervous.. but the teacher has not contacted me for anything.. so I am hoping that this "bad kid" is a made up character or isn't Drewski!!!!! {Garrett had a bad kid in his class.. and always talked about him.. so I am hoping Drew is fabricating a touch here!}

Garrett.. his 1st day ran a bit smoother since I knew when his school started.. he is in a 1st/2nd grade combo class.. seems good so far.. the homework is a bit more challenging then last year {well the spelling words kicked his butt today} but that is life.. and we will get through it.. I won't worry too much.. I am sure he will be just fine! He is enjoying the fact that he is at the same school and gets to play with his buddy Graham before we leave.
