Pirates vs Padres 4/26 @ 2:30p

Wow what a difference two hours and 30 degrees can make on these kids.. it was the most adorable game ever.. I got so many cute pictures.. Garrett did awesome! He went after the ball everytime.. hit the ball.. ran the bases.. stay out on the field the whole practice and the whole game.. the last ball that was hit.. Garrett caught and threw to first base.. I was one proud mom when we left!!!!! Here are a few pictures I got of the game.. so cute!

Get it! What cracks me up is all the kids fighting over the ball are the smallest on the team.. the biggest kids were like hey that was my ball, but they would all just charge for them.. it was chaos, but cute.. then the coach and Dad's tried teaching the little ones that they can just dog pile for the ball.. which is the cutest part.. hee hee.. Garrett is #4 on the right.

Good hit Garrett.. he just kinda sat there for a bit after hitting the ball.. he needed some coaching.. oh ya.. I run now.. t-ball is adorable!

My Little Pirates Game Pictures

When I say little.. I mean little.. in this first picture.. it has the biggest Pirate player and my guy.. who is the littlest.. he made the t-ball cut off literally by one day.. the birthday cut off was 3-18-05.. early exposure.. will hopefully equal a great baseball player.. I love baseball.. and I have always hoped that one of my little guys will like playing.. we shall see!

I am not sure who was having more fun out there.. Mark or Garrett.. Garrett is so lucky to have such a involved Dad.. and I am so lucky to have such an awesome hubby.. he was the only Dad {besides the couch} wearing a yellow shirt.. awww love this man!

Oops! I missed the hit.. ugh.. this was during the game.. after practice.. Garrett hit the ball and got to run the bases!

Here it is.... my first cheese for my new camera! Oh and his new hair cut.. oops.. I cut it too short.. better luck next time.. good thing I am a mother of boys!

Drew's Update

Well I was right Drew is delayed.. so we will be contacted by a speech therapist and will be doing therapy twice a week for a half hour.. I am thrilled.. I want to hear his little voice so bad.. and I am another step closer to that! I also want Drew to be up to par with the rest of the kids in Kindergarden.. so its better to get this taken care of now!

Cognitive/Play: Drew is at a 19 mos range; only delayed by 14%

Receptive Language: Drew is at a 9-12 mos range emerging into a 12-15 mos range; 45-59% delayed

Expressive Language: 9-12 mos range emerging into a 12-15 mos range; 45-59% delayed

Social/Emotional: 19 mos; 14% delayed

So for the next 6 mos we will be doing that.. then hopefully he will be up to speed.. I don't have any doubt in my mind that he will respond well to this therapy.. the Speech Pathologist also recommend that I took a behavior class.. mainly dealing with the 2nd child and his behaviors.. so that will be for 5wks once a week.

Drew's Speech Update

Well the Regional Center came out and asked me a bunch of questions.. then took the answers back to the board.. and we will be contacted by a speech pathologist soon.. I am very excited to get this done.. I want to know.. the unknown of this is bugging me the most.. but since I have contacted the Regional Center.. Drew is really trying hard to communicate with me.. its so crazy.. its like your broken car that works fine for a mechanic!

The other day I was getting ready for the gym.. Drew was sick.. so I was just taking Garrett.. I came downstairs with Garrett's clothes and...

Drew started running around clapping saying "YAY.. YAY.. YAY"
I said "No Drew just Garrett is coming"
then started getting Garrett dressed
Drew pointed to himself and said "too.. too... too"
then I started putting Garrett's shoes and socks on
Drew pointed to his feet and said "socks.. socks"

He is trying with his limited vocabulary to talk to me.. and I hope that its just a step he missed.. or he is too stuborn to talk when he is not sure how to say it, but we play the repeat game whenever we are in the car.. he will say the majority of his words, but if I throw one in that he can't say.. he won't say it.. I know its comiing.. I know its there.. Garrett was just a talker.. and I really took that for granted.. I am so anxious for Drew to talk!

This Sat we went to our community Easter event.. we had so much fun.. Drew got to go on a little Easter egg hunt.. Garrett got to enjoy the big kid Easter egg hunt.. we played games, both boys jumped in jump houses and a picture with Mr. & Mrs Easter Bunny ended the day... we had a blast!!!!
