The Past Few Days

Have been filled with laughing, BBQs, pedicures, golfing, shopping, In&Out, sushi, the beach, wine, card games, etc.. all the things that we have missed enjoying with the Jahnkes'.. seriously what a blast to have them out here.. I so wish that they would move back or hold them hostage here.... but I realize that its time they go enjoy some quiet time with eachother before they hurry back to their little one! Here are some pictures from the beach yesterday.. we had a blast.. Garrett has no fear.. he wants to be in the water just like his Dad.. Drew & I played on the swing for the most of the day.. but at the end.. played in the waves just a little.. it was a fun day!

Its so crazy thats its been 5 yrs ago that we were all living in the same condo as newlyweds.. so many memories.. soo many good times... we miss you guys so much.. and have a safe trip home!

****Mark got his boot off yesterday.. we are sooooooooo excited.. he feels a little weak, but in time he will be stronger.. I pray that it heals up fast!

The Jahnkes' Are Here!

Well minus Baby Ben.. Nikki & BJ wanted a vacation together for their 5 yr Anniversary.. and Nikki's big 3-0 birthday.. so they decided to come out to California to visit us.. then spend a few days in San Diego on their own.. its been so much fun having them here! Yesterday we went to the Angels vs. Twins game.. all week the Angels took the win over the Twins.. except of course yesterday.. even though we didn't pull the win.. it was a lot of fun hanging out with good friends!

July 24, 2009 {5yr Anniversary}

I love you more today than I did yesterday.. and I will love you more tomorrow than I do today! You are an amazing man, loving husband, caring father, you support me in anything I do & I am one lucky girl to call you my husband... I thank god everyday that he brought me you.. In you I find all that I have ever wanted.. thanks for 5 wonderful years of marriage.. and many more amazing years to come!

My first 5K

I did it.. I cannot believe it.. a few months ago I had this crazy idea to sign up for a 5K.. I was talking to my friend Pam.. she said that her and some friends were interested in doing the mud run this year.. so I decided why not.. lets do this.. we signed up what seemed like months prior to the run.. and I started training.. but then Mark had his surgery.. workouts were not very consistent after that.. then all of the sudden the day was here.. I was so nervous! The week prior I had a really nice workout, but it left me sore.. so I decided to not workout to save all my energy for the big day.. not sure if that was a good idea or not, but I completed the run in 1 hr 3 min... there were 4,000 people running that day.. they had 2 5k runs, 1 10k run & a kids run.. needless to say there was hundreds of people doing the same 5k that I did.. we had obstacles that we had to do.. so jogging to the obstacles wasn't bad.. cause then you had to wait for your turn over the wall.. the stop and go was great in the beginning, but by the end.. it was just making me more tired.. I would have liked to just kept going.. but there was 3ft walls, 4ft walls, tires, mud tracks, mud pools {which you had to crawl in!}, water waist deep that you had to run through that smelt horrible, tunnels with sand and little mud filled hills that were slippery.. seriously.. there is no way that I could describe how dirty this run was.. and there are no words to describe the joy I feel for completing the course!




Thank you Pam for talking me into such a crazy idea.. thank you Joanna for the sports bra tip.. that was HUGE.. also for sending me the pictures... thank you Stephanie & hubby for staying with me for most of the course.. thank you Granny for waking up super duper early to watch my two lil' guys and a big thank you to myself for actually going through with something that I thought I would never do! I can't WAIT til next year!

**Also if your curious.. my total weight loss since my last doctor visit has been 33lbs... I have 25 more to go before I am at my goal weight.. the new healthier me has been a blast to live with so far.. I am wearing shorts, dresses, tank tops & bathing suits.. all with confidence to the new me.. its been life changing!

This was the 2 minutes that Garrett was not screaming his head off scared to death of seeing fireworks.. it was cute.. for a second I thought he might snap out of it, but as soon as the song was over.. he was back to crying.. a few days before this.. we were out getting ice cream with our neighbors.. Erin had Drew, Carter & Garrett right at her side.. when some jerk {19yr old} decided to throw a firecracker right by them.. freaked Garrett out.. he ran in covering his ears.. it was a mess.. so I am sure that didn't help Garrett's fear of fireworks!

Garrett & Drew love to run around with Conner.. a few weeks ago we met up at the mall playarea.. and Garrett was following him around like a big brother.. making sure he got down the slide.. Conner also made a break for it out of the playarea twice.... Garrett went after him and brought him back in.. it was the sweetest thing ever! Conner loves to be chased by the boys.. and he has even survived a Lensing tackle by both boys laughing.. he is a little cutie.. we are so glad to have Emily & Conner in our lives!

June 27th {yes I am behind on blogging} we went to Keoni's 3rd birthday party.. train theme at Irvine Park.. and we all got to enjoy a ride on the train.. Garrett loved this part of the party!
