Legos

So just recently Garrett has been really into sitting down and building stuff with legos. This makes things pretty interesting with Drew around cause he likes to come over and destroy whatever it is that Garrett is building. So I have been putting Garrett's legos on the kitchen table and keeping Drew in the living room with me while he builds. The other day Garrett was building towers and bridges. Then he asked me "Mama.. What should I make?" and I replied "I know make a train." He said "Ok" and I didn't hear much after that. Then a bit later he says "Mom come look at my train." I couldn't believe that he built this all by himself!

Garrett told me "This is Gordon." I was so impressed that we have been playing with legos everynight since. I am so curious what he will come up with next!

My Dream Has Come True

Well I am very excited to say that I am finally a SAHM! Today was my last day at work! I am leaving the career world to be with my kids full time. I am so excited that Mark and I could finally figure out a budget that would allow me to raise my kids and not some one else. I don't think its going to be easy. Its going to be a big adjustment to tell myself NO you can't buy that, but I think that once we are in a groove it will come more natural. I am very excited to take more pictures of my kids, laugh with them more, play with them more and most importantly be there for everything. The first 5 yrs of a child's life are so important as far as molding who they will be. I want Mark and I to mold them during these impressionable years! I am grateful to Mark, he will be needing to pick up more work hours, but I also feel like that is his job. The man makes the dough and the woman raises kids. Sounds old fashion, but I feel that its the best way to go about things.

During this time I am going to be slowly going back to school to reach my goal of becoming a nurse. I have always wanted a job that would make a difference. I love the idea that I would have a career that would be caring for people. My goal is to go to one class a semester then once the boys are in school full time I would begin the nursing program. This is far down the road and who knows what the future will bring, but I always think its a good idea and healthy to work towards something.

For now.. its me and the kids! I will be having a blast with the two greatest blessings in my life.. and I am so excited!!!!!
