The Jahnke Family
So last month.. we had the Jahnke Family come visit us.. it was such a blast as usual to have them around!!! Our family really enjoys their friendship.. I really wish they would just hurry up and move back to California, but until then we will enjoy vacations with each other!
While they were here we took a trip down to the Wild Animal Park {after Garrett got out of school} one day {in between football practice madness}.. yup that is how the vacation with us was like.. it was seriously busy.. but a ton of fun!!!

They did get to sneak away to San Clemente for a few days and stay in a condo down there.. lucky ducks.. but the time that we did have with them.. between running here and there to pick up the boys or whatever it was.. we managed to enjoy some of our favorite things.. Nikki & I sat on the patio drinking Wilson Creek almond champagne with yummy Trader Joes dunkers having Mama talk.. BJ & Mark played Madden while creating empty beer can pyramids.. our little guys all slept in the same room one night having a slumber party.. and of course on the last night together we enjoyed a huge sushi feast then played apples to apples.. next time we need to go back to Sequence so Nikki and I can kick the boys butts {like we usually do!}.
We are so thankful to have this wonderful family in our lives.. and I look forward to many more years of friendship!

Stallions Football Season
Well we are undefeated.. yup.. our little Stallions rocked it this season!!!! We did lose our first game to Long Beach, but apparently they are a bunch of cheaters and had a 8 yr old running the ball.. they even went as far as too change out paperwork to make him appear to be a 7yr old... yup.. its that crazy this Pop Warner Football stuff.. they are serious.. and out to win!!!!!
So I have to brag about our team.. after Long Beach we beat all the other teams we played.. and when I say beat.. I mean we did by so many touch downs that we were not able to even score anymore or else we would be penalized for it.. so my little Freight Train got a chance to run the ball during one of these games.. which was a VERY proud and exciting moment for us.. we didn't expect to see Garrett running the ball this year.. since he is only 5 and plays with 7 yr olds that have 2 yrs on him.. it was awesome!!!! Talk about a cloud 9 moment for us.. he ran right up the middle and didn't lose the ball.. even took the hits.. it was great!!!!
This season watching Garrett play football has been amazing.. he looks so grown up to me, but compared to the other kids.. still so little.. he amazes me to see him go after the ball.. block against such big kids.. he is so focused.. he has been thrown around.. taken hits.. and doesn't cry.. football is tough.. these kids are really tough.. and so is my little Freight Train.. oh I love that nickname that he earned at the Yorba Linda game while running the ball.. too cute!
I love this series of shots.. Garrett takes care of one kiddo to go up against another kiddo.. I just love it!
So after I am finished with this blog post.. we will be getting ready for our last practice before tomorrows bowl game.. which is the final game of the season.. its such a bitter sweet moment for me.. I am ready to have time to do other things other than football.. but the families we have met... will be missed greatly.. in the beginning of the season the coach said get use to seeing our faces new parents.. cause for the next few months we will be your family.. there is a lot of time involved in this.. and that is so true.. the parents and kiddos have been such a joy to hang with.. there are a few end of the season parties to attend.... that will stretch into the first week of November.. and next year we have a few kids that will stay back with us.. but for the older kiddos that are moving on.. we will hopefully play with again sometime in the future.. they are a great bunch of little guys!!!
